Adjusting the Gear Control
The Gear Control Rod is adjusted by loosening the nut on the lower joint and screwing the rod into or out of the joint. Within the Gearbox of the latest type is a plunger and spring which locates the gear in its correct position. The rod should be adjusted so that the gear lever comes snugly into its respective notches in the gate. (For adjustment to Foot gearchange see special section under this heading page 14).
