Fuel Taps
There are two, one at each side of the tank at the rear. The tap plungers work horizontally and are pressed from one side to the other to open or close them. One knob on each tap is hexagon-shaped and marked " Push on." The other is round and milled, marked " Push off." By running with one tap closed a small supply of fuel will be trapped in that side of the tank and forms a reserve sufficient for three or four miles running.
Always keep both taps closed when the machine is not in use, and to economise fuel turn off the supply about two or three hundred yards before reaching the point where a stop of anything more than a few minutes is to be made.
